Microsoft sql server error 927 restoring
Free additional disk space by deleting other files on the tempdb drive Posted by Karthick P. Error: , Severity: 14, State: 2. Cause We get above error if the Model database is corrupted.
Replace model. Like this: Like Loading Blog at WordPress. Follow Following. The error and behavior which I am seeing makes sense because to start SQL Server, we need master, model and tempdb database.
Well, you might have been tricked. So, my master is fine, model has some problem. Since the model database is not recovered successfully, SQL Server cannot create the tempdb database, and the instance of SQL Server does not start understandably. So I called up Balmukund — these are the perks of having a good friend to rely. He gives hint and asks me to research further. In my case SQL is the name of the instance.
After starting with trace flag , I verified the same from Errorlog as well. Recovering only master database because traceflag was specified.
This is an informational message only. No user action is required. Now my SQL instance came up happily and I was unblocked. Regards, Lin. Hi Praveen, Can you pl cross check, if you are starting before the restore ends. Thanks, Thanks, Satish Kumar. Hello Satish, From what i have seen till now with DB mirroring, we need to restore the secondary DB with no-recovery and this usually keeps the DB in restoring state.
Thanks Shabeer. Thanks Lin, Thanks for your inputs.. I did install SSMS and it worked Thursday, September 1, AM. Thanks for the tips all! Phillip Cox. Tuesday, October 25, PM. Understood - just trying to find a way to solve an issue - none of the prescribed solutions have worked so far - when you run our of recommended actions, you start trying non-recommended actions.
Any suggestions? Other than my last ditch attempt, presume I didn't remove it from restoring mode. The steps for setting up mirroring are pretty well documented, they just don't seem to be working In my setup, something isn't setup right, but I can't find it - I'm looking for suggestions where to start. I've blown everything away a couple times, and used multiple databases each with the same results.
I've changed the ports, I've made sure named pipes are enabled, I've checked routing tables to make sure both can see each other, I've enabled ports in firewall even though they are on the same domain, I've rebooted the servers, I've created the mirroring endpoints on both ends.
I've worked my way through about 4 or 5 now I didn't see yours from Google - thank-you, will work through it now. I will update the thread when complete if I find the solution in there. I've read the troubleshooting step a a couple times, but nothing has actually suggested what the result should be. As I noted, I've done telnet sql. Should I be looking for something similar to a plain text helo like the SMTP protocol, or is the fact that the screen clears proof that it's working?
