New dragon ball z game 2011 trailer

Dragon Ball Z fans have yet another reason to be proud of the long-running, long-lasting epic anime adventure with the announcement of two new Dragon Ball games. Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butouden will a be a 2D cel-shaded fighter for the DS , which will feature the ability to let players shout out the names of super moves, like the "Kamehameha" to activate in battle, similar in functionality to the voice-controlled iPhone game, Voice Fantasy. For gamers who want to take on their friends locally, there will also be a ad-hoc multiplayer mode for up to 2 players.

Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle Royale is an arcade fighter that will have its network battles featured within the game. With it being an arcade title, the likelihood of Zenkai Battle Royale coming to North American shores is pretty unlikely however, the game has not been confirmed as a Japan-only title. There is a tag-team aspect to the battles now that was previously seen on Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team , so players and opponents will be able to team up with another character in battle for a 2-on-2 takedown!

The fighting gameplay seems very fluid and smooth which will translate great once it hits arcades. One really cool feature in the trailer is a new take on the "Warp Kamehameha" that Goku is famous for using. Goku can know restrain an enemy and have his partner fire an energy blast on him, using his "Instant Transmission" technique to teleport out of harm's way just before he is hit with the blast.

No Dragon Ball game has come close since. Xenoverse 2 now has over characters, but most of them were added with paid DLC. While Budokai Tenkaichi 3 had more characters, Budokai 3 had a combat system many fans loved.

FighterZ has captured that aspect well, though its starting roster was lackluster, with only 24 playable characters compared to Budokai 3 's Seeing so many fan-favorite Dragon Ball characters locked behind a paywall, especially after the massive rosters of the older games, is quite a letdown. Hopefully, fans will hear good news about a new Dragon Ball Z game in alongside the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie , as it seems the current games will last until at least the end of Quinn is a new part-time freelance writer for Screen Rant with a focus on writing Game Features.
